United suffer a hammering

City back on top

Man Utd suffered a 3-1 defeat at the hands of West Ham to add more pressure to the Club, the players and Jose Mourinho. In a week that had been plagued with rumours surrounding both Pogba and the manager with a certain Zidane also thrown in for good measure, losing away to West Ham was the last thing they needed. Earlier in the week a video footage  was doing the rounds on social media depicting a frosty encounter between Mourinho and Pogba at a united training session  (say what you want but one if not both has got to go).

Man Utd were absolutely awful against the hammers. No leaders out on the field. A flat and lackluster display was what travelling fans were treated to (I’d ask for a refund mate) from a team that appears to be in turmoil. This season was supposed to be the year Mourinho and the Red Devils stake a claim to the league since Ferguson’s departure. Let’s be honest that isn’t going to happen for a long while if things remain as they are.

Take nothing away from West Ham who put on a good performance from the start and took their opportunities. Goals from Anderson, Lindelof (og) and Arnautovic for the hammers ensured victory. Rashford pulled one back for Utd but the game was already over by then.

The big match of the weekend was in no doubt between Chelsea and Liverpool. Chelsea appeared to have the upper hand and bragging rights after knocking out their opponents in the midweek league cup match thanks to a magnificent solo effort from Hazard. Roll on Saturday and yet again the same outcome with Chelsea’s brilliant number 10 opening the scoring to put the blues ahead. Things weren’t looking too great for Liverpool and they looked like ending their 100% record until Daniel Sturridge’s late equaliser in the 89th minute to give Liverpool a draw.

Elsewhere, Man City are back at the summit after Liverpool slipped up against Chelsea. City were in cruise control against Brighton as Sterling and Aguero signed City off with a 2-0 victory. Everton beat Fulham 3-0 with a brace from the influential Sigurdsson. Arsenal left it late the see off Watford in their 2-0 win at the emirates whilst Spurs also won 2-0 away to Huddersfield (Harry Kane at the double).

Super Daniel with the goal of the weekend!!!
